Emotional Intelligence Approach on Teaching Methods — online Kick-off Meeting: A New Approach to Teaching with Emotional Intelligence
On December 4, 2024, the Kick-off Meeting for the “Emotional Intelligence Approach on Teaching Methods” project brought together educators from Romania, Portugal, Finland, Italy, and Spain. Co-Funded by the European Union, this two-year initiative aims to transform secondary school teaching by integrating Emotional Intelligence (EI) into classrooms.
The project is coordinated by Iniciativa Internacional Joven (Spain), with key contributions from AEGEy (Portugal), Naantali Lukio (Finland), UNIPA (Italy), and LER (Romania). Together, they will develop innovative teaching tools to improve student engagement, reduce absenteeism, and create more inclusive learning environments.
The Kick-off Meeting laid the groundwork for collaboration, defining the project’s objectives and structuring tasks across three main areas: project management, pedagogical development, and impact assessment. Over the next two years, partners will train teachers, exchange best practices, and implement emotionally intelligent teaching strategies across Europe.
This marks the beginning of a promising educational shift, one that places Emotional Intelligence at the heart of learning. Stay tuned for updates as the project unfolds!
