WHAT IS IT?

Emotional Intelligence approach on teaching methods is a 24-months Cooperation Partnership in the field of School Education that involves one association, one university and three schools from five countries (Finland, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Spain). The main aim of this project is develop innovative pedagogical competences, based on Emotional Intelligence, for secondary school teachers, in order to face the new educational challenges of today’s students.

The main objectives of the project are:
‑To exchange experiences, good practices and methodologies between organisations and professionals in the field of secondary education from five European countries, in order to motivate students, reduce absenteeism and school dropout, and address other educational challenges;
‑To design practical and accessible methodological tools for teachers and other professionals in the educational community to teach their subjects through Emotional Intelligence;
‑To train secondary school teachers to be able to apply the newly created methodological tools based on Emotional Intelligence in the classroom;
‑To facilitate the construction of safe, inclusive and emotionally intelligent educational spaces where students, teachers and other professionals in the field of school education can develop personally and professionally;
‑To create an international network of organisations, active in the field of school education, aware of the importance of generating new teaching methods that enable them to address the educational challenges of today’s students and the well-being of the whole educational community.

Duration of the project: 01/11/2024 – 31/10/2026 [24 months]

The main activities are:
‑First Coordination meeting in Finland;
‑Meetings to present the Project;
‑Meeting among Experts in Italy;
‑Collection of priority needs;
‑Creation and drafting of the training content for the Online Training Course (OTC);
‑First Multiplier Events to present and disseminate the OTC in each project country;
‑Management and supervision of the OTC, including a face-to-face evaluation meeting for competences assessment and validation in each country;
‑Intermediate Coordination Meeting in Portugal;
‑International Seminar in Romania;
‑Implementation of the tools with students in the 5 countries of the project;
‑Improvement and adaptation of the tools;
‑Creation and drafting in English of the Methodological Guide to provide teachers with recommendations, examples and resources for the construction of emotionally intelligent spaces;
‑Implementation of the Guide with students in the 5 countries of the project;
‑Drafting of the final version of the Guide, translated into the languages of the project organisations;
‑Meetings with stakeholders;
‑Creation of a final video to summarise the project;
‑Second Multiplier Events in the 5 project countries (except Spain);
‑Final Evaluation Meeting and Conference in Spain.
