Interactive Erasmus+ Activity Enhances Emotional Intelligence Skills in 9th Grade Classroom (LER)

Vaslui, Romania – April 27, 2026 – Students of class IX C at the “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School in Vaslui took part in an engaging and interactive learning activity led by teacher Loredana Toma, as part of the second implementation phase of the Erasmus+ project “Emotional Intelligence Approach on Teaching Methods” (Project No. 2024–1‑ES01-KA220-SCH-000253249).

The activity introduced an innovative educational tool developed through the Erasmus+ international partnership, in collaboration with the partner school Agrupamento de Escolas Gil Eanes (Portugal).

During the lesson, the teaching approach combined emotional intelligence development with English language learning, focusing on the use of modal verbs in social and emotional contexts. Students actively participated in a variety of interactive tasks, including brainstorming exercises on emotional management, group work based on real-life scenarios such as social exclusion, peer pressure, and loneliness, open-ended role-play activities, and individual reflection on emotions and behaviors.
