English through Emotional Intelligence

Within the Erasmus+ project “Emotional Intelligence Approach on Teaching Methods” (Ref. no. 2024–1‑ES01-KA220-SCH-000253249), Liceul Teoretic “Emil Racoviță” Vaslui also developed an English lesson that combined language skills with emotional intelligence.

Students practiced communication in English while engaging in activities focused on empathy, collaboration, and emotional expression. Role-plays, dialogues, and reflective exercises allowed learners to explore how emotions shape communication and how positive interaction supports mutual understanding.

The lesson highlighted that foreign language learning is not only about grammar and vocabulary, but also about intercultural awareness, empathy, and respectful dialogue. This resource will form part of the Online Training Course (OTC), offering teachers across Europe practical ways to integrate emotional intelligence into language teaching.
