Physics with Emotional Awareness
Within the Erasmus+ project “Emotional Intelligence Approach on Teaching Methods” (2024–1‑ES01-KA220-SCH-000253249), students at Liceul Teoretic “Emil Racoviță” Vaslui revisited the topic of thermal engines through a lesson that integrated emotional intelligence.
The activity encouraged group work, where learners had to collaborate, regulate frustration, and support each other while solving technical tasks. Teachers guided them to reflect on emotions such as stress, curiosity, and satisfaction, and to turn challenges into opportunities for resilience.
This innovative model demonstrates how highly technical subjects like Physics can also develop empathy, collaboration, and emotional regulation. The material will be included in the OTC content.
